ABOUT SINGING SEAGULLS
Hi, I’m Chip, of the Singing Seagulls.
I'm an Isle of Wight seagull. I enjoy chips, seaside adventures, train journeys, vintage cars, café pit stops, and generally sticking my beak into things that probably aren't my business.
Over the years, I've explored beaches, promenades, hidden corners, local landmarks and some of the island's finest places to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat. You can even follow some of my adventures in the Chip Explores gallery.
Somewhere along the way, I had an idea.
What if cards could be a little more fun?
What if a birthday card could make someone laugh?
What if a postcard could tell a story?
What if a simple tap of a phone could unlock something unexpected?
That's how Singing Seagulls took flight.
These days I spend my time helping people turn memories, messages, jokes and special moments into cards, postcards and keepsakes that are a little different from the ordinary.
Most cards are opened once, placed on a shelf for a few days, then quietly forgotten, then either stuck in a drawer for a while, then thrown into the bin to end up in a landfill. That's a sad waste of thought and paper if you ask me.
At first glance, Singing Seagulls cards look traditional, or familiar, but when you tap them with your phone, they come alive and surprise with a magical WOW factor that's even more impressive than my ability to snatch battered cod from a tourist on Ryde beach!
